George Floyd was murdered by Minneapolis police on May 25th. There was something different about Mr. Floyd's death that touched me in a different way than all of the other lives we have lost due to police brutality and racism. Now more than ever do we demand justice and march not only across the country, but all over the world to end the systemic and institutionalized racism and support Black Lives Matter.
Being an African-American Woman Business Owner, I feel obligated to step up and make my voice be heard, as well as supporting other Black Owned businesses, locally and nationally. I want to be a person that my non-Black friends and clients can come to and ask a question. I want to be a person that can have resources for people that may have a hard time reaching out and trying to figure out how they can support other Black people. In this section, I provided different links that will take you to resources and have some helpful tools that is informative and will give you a better understanding of what it is like to be Black in America. If you would like to know how to support me and any other local Black businesses, and help stop racism and police brutality, please don’t hesitate to ask! We are stronger together! Rest In Peace to all of the lives we have lost to racism and police brutality. BLACK LIVES MATTER!
Rest In Peace George Floyd
